How it works
How the record stays honest.
Vouchbase collects reviews from the people who actually bought from a store, and publishes them under rules that nobody — not the store, not the reviewer, not us — can bend. These are the rules.
Every order gets an invitation
A store cannot choose who is asked. Every qualifying order receives a review invitation, timed only by the order's status and the store's timing settings — never by how happy a customer is likely to be. Stores are not permitted to offer payment, discounts, or rewards for reviews. If a store offers you an incentive for a Vouchbase review, please tell us at hello@vouchbase.net.
What "Verified order" means
A review carries the verified label only when the order's payment was confirmed through the store's own payment gateway. Reviews from orders paid by other means — bank transfer, cash on delivery — are published on exactly the same terms, without the label. The label's meaning is fixed; stores cannot configure it.
Nothing can be edited
Once published, a review's text, rating, and display name cannot be changed by anyone. The reviewer can delete their review at any time using the link in their invitation email, which remains valid indefinitely; deletion removes it from vouchbase.net and from the store's website, and the review's record page shows only that it was withdrawn. Those are the only two ways a published review ever changes — deletion by its author, or removal under the content rules below — and both leave a visible trace.
The complete record
Every review collected through Vouchbase for a store appears in that store's Vouchbase record — the counts, the distribution, and the reviews themselves — regardless of what the store chooses to show on its own website. A store may post one public reply to a store review; it cannot hide, reorder, or remove customer reviews on Vouchbase.
Removal can never improve a rating
We may remove a review that is unlawful or breaches our content standards — threats, hate speech, other people's personal data, content that infringes someone's rights. A removed review leaves a visible notice in its place and continues to count in the store's figures. We are not obliged to remove reviews because they are negative, and we never remove them silently.
Reporting a review
Every review on Vouchbase has its own record page, reached from the review itself. If a review breaches the content standards above, email hello@vouchbase.net with the address of that record page and a line on what is wrong. We read every report; what removal looks like is described above.
