For customers

You received a review invitation. Here's what it means.

Short answers to the questions people ask when one of these emails arrives. The full wording is in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, Part B; nothing here changes them.

Why did I get this email?

A store you bought from uses Vouchbase to ask its customers for reviews. The email was sent on the store's behalf — the store is responsible for the message, and replies go to the store, not to us. We sent it as the store's service provider.

Is this email genuine?

Review invitations are sent from invite.vouchbase.net and every link in them goes to vouchbase.net. We never ask for payment, card details, or a password — writing a review needs no account. If an email claiming to be from Vouchbase asks for any of those, don't use it, and tell us at privacy@vouchbase.net.

Do I have to do anything?

No. You never pay anything and you are never obliged to respond. If you ignore the email, nothing happens, and the personal data connected to your order is deleted from our systems after approximately 90 days.

What does unsubscribe do?

Every invitation contains an unsubscribe link. Using it permanently stops all future review emails relating to that store — including any reminder. It applies to that store; if you buy from a different store that also uses Vouchbase, that store's invitations are separate.

Can I review without giving my name?

Yes. You choose the display name shown with your review, and you can choose to post without one — your review then appears as "Verified customer". Your email address is never published.

Can I change or delete my review?

Published reviews cannot be edited — by you, by the store, or by us. That is what keeps the record trustworthy. You can deleteyour review at any time: the link in your invitation email works indefinitely, and one click withdraws the review from vouchbase.net and from the store's website, with no account and no form. If you have lost the email, a request to privacy@vouchbase.net triggers the same deletion.

Is my data deleted?

Yes, on a schedule. Approximately 90 days after your invitation completes or expires, your name and email address are permanently removed from the order record. If you wrote a review, the order reference and date are kept without any personal data, so that the review's verification record survives; if you didn't, the order and the invitation are deleted in full. Unsubscribes are kept permanently — in a protected form that cannot be read back as an address — because honouring an opt-out is a legal obligation. Details in Privacy Policy, section 7.

What did the store share about me?

Only what is needed to send the invitation and, if you write a review, to record that it came from a real order. The list is in Privacy Policy, section 3. We do not receive card or payment details, we do not use the data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Who is responsible for my data?

For the invitation, the store is the data controller and Truvas Limited (the company behind Vouchbase) is its processor, acting on the store's instructions. For reviews published on vouchbase.net, Truvas Limited is the controller. You don't need to work out which of us to ask: contact privacy@vouchbase.net and we will either handle your request or pass it to the store without delay. Our details are on the public company register.
